The song "Welcome to the Future" By Brad Paisley is a great song to listen to. It mainly talks about when he was younger everything was so different to everything in the 21st century. One part of the song that really stuck out to me was when he said he was going on an 8 hour car ride and just wanted to watch T.V. Nowadays, a lot of cars have mini tv's in them so you can watch a movie or two on a long car ride. Another part that stuck out to me was when he sang that now we can ask for rides on our phones, where as before you had to set up a ride with someone in person. The difference between today's society is the technology. Back in the days, technology wasn't a thing and has changed the world and peoples lives tremendously.
I think this song had a very strong meaning behind it. Although, I wasn't alive when technology wasn't as big as it is now, it still has as strong meaning behind it, especially for those who lived it. It amazes how much it has changed and how much we take technology for granted.
